The team of artists, instructors, and directors at Home Orchestra and Music Education (H.O.M.E.) work hard in order to teach and inspire your students to excel in music. We wouldn’t be where we are today if not for their amazing talent and hard work. These are the faces behind H.O.M.E.

NADINE CHADWELL

Executive Director and Instructor

A native of San Antonio who attended Central State University on a full violin performance scholarship, Nadine has played in symphony orchestras in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. She has taught hundreds of students through CBC Fine Arts School, Cornerstone Music Conservatory, FBCUC School of Worship Arts, HOST, and her home studio. She was concertmaster at Community Bible Church for 10 years. She partnered with Vitas Healthcare to found Vitas Strings, offering her students the opportunity to use their musical skills for nursing home and hospice clients. She has travelled the world as a missionary musician with Global Missions Project leading several master classes internationally. While she continues to teach violin, viola, cello, and bass, her passion for playing and teaching has opened up unusual opportunities for helping others.

MICHAEL KEPLINGER

Educator, Composer, Performer

Michael is a guitar educator, composer, and performer based in San Antonio, Texas. He currently teaches classical guitar at Our Lady of the Lake University and also teaches guitar ensembles for H.O.M.E. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from The University of Texas Brownsville and a master’s degree in guitar performance from The University of Texas San Antonio. During his studies, he has participated in numerous masterclasses with world-renown artists such as the Grammy-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, David Russell, Latin Grammy nominee Berta Rojas, and Guitar Foundation of America winners Johannes Moller and Dimitri Illarionov among others. Michael also composes music for both solo guitar and guitar ensemble and in 2019, won 1st prize for the Austin Classical Guitar Composition Competition. He is also primary music writer for his hard rock band “Bingo Night”. In addition, Michael has found success in several solo guitar competitions and performs regularly for various events.

KRISTA FOX

Piano Teacher

Krista Fox is graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Piano.  She has been playing the piano since she was 5 and has always had a passion for music.  She loves teaching and is a proud military wife and homeschool mother of 2 daughters.
